Neigborhood and co-housing
The house has two types of accommodations: The neighborhood and the co-housing. They each provide different levels of privacy and community. In the co-housing, the residents have their own kitchenette and admission to a larger shared kitchen and living room.
All residences are private, no matter the type of accommodation. The other residents of the house will have no way of passing through the residences of others.
In the co-housing, there is, in addition to the private room, a common room to share with the other residents. The common room consists of a living room, kitchen, and in many cases also a terrace. It will also be in the common rooms that the residents’ social lives and community will take form. There are two types of co-housing: a mixed co-housing with residents from multiple generations, and a co-housing consisting solely of youth residences.
In the neighborhood, the area of the common room is reduced in favor of larger housing. In the neighborhoods, there are, in other words, no shared areas connected to each accommodation - only the ones, that the house otherwise offers, and are open for everyone in the house.
To live in a neighborhood or co-housing places several demands for you as a resident.
The community can only exist if all residents wish to participate.
